I’m a programmer, which is exactly why I use a 2019 MacBook Pro with an Intel Core i9, 64GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage. I build, test, and run real software, and I believe in having the tools needed to perform at a high level.

With 32+ IT certifications in areas like Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Networking, and Software Development, along with 5+ years of experience at a Fortune 500 Big Tech company, I have built a strong and well-rounded technical foundation. Based on my background, certifications, and hands-on experience, I am targeting opportunities with a minimum salary of $120,000 and pushing toward roles in the $160,000+ range.

Some of my most valuable certifications include the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, which is consistently recognized as one of the most respected certifications in IT. My cloud and infrastructure knowledge is also reinforced by certifications like CompTIA A+ and Network+, and this semester I am pursuing Security+ to complete the CompTIA Trifecta.

That combination demonstrates my commitment to building a comprehensive IT skill set. It shows employers that I can contribute across a wide range of responsibilities, from technical support and systems administration to networking, cloud architecture, and security. This breadth of knowledge opens the door to more opportunities and stronger long-term salary growth.

My journey is also unique because I am combining all three major paths of technical education:

• A Silicon Valley coding bootcamp
• A U.S. Department of Labor-backed apprenticeship as an Application Developer at a leading global tech company
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Cloud Computing and Networking from an accredited nonprofit university

My apprenticeship alone was worth 51 college credits at some institutions and gave me enterprise-level experience in consulting, software development, and cloud computing. That means I did not rely on just one path. I intentionally built a long-term roadmap that combines practical skill, academic credibility, and real-world experience.

More than 7 years ago, when I first started learning computer science, I realized I did not want to become a one-trick pony. Instead of following a narrow path, I created my own 10-year curriculum to build a broad, future-proof skill set. Even during my apprenticeship at IBM, coworkers described me as a jack of all trades because I could contribute across multiple domains.

I can do web development, mobile development, and AI-focused development. I have built websites, created apps published on the Google Play Store, and spent years learning AI, machine learning, and neural networks through self-study, experimentation, and hands-on projects.

At this point, I’m no longer interested in learning just for the sake of learning. I want the next phase of my journey to fully reflect the value I’ve built. That is why I plan to pursue a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence. I teach myself new things every day, and I want that level of discipline and specialization to be reflected both in my work and in my credentials.

I have built portfolio sites, business websites, applications, and many other technical projects. My long-term goal is to step into advanced cloud and AI roles, where the impact and compensation align with the years I’ve invested into mastering this field. In tech, high performers are rewarded well, and I am building toward that level with intention.
